N’AK BAR, JOAN LLARCH

N’AK BAR offers live music and DJ sessions, with an active and dynamic program that encourages the debut of emerging bands and DJs, becoming something similar to what Heliogàbal has been for the city of Barcelona. This venue, the headquarters of an association promoting artistic and cultural activities, serves as a driving force and meeting point for the Catalan music scene.

It is designed as a friendly and simple environment, making visitors feel like they are in a rehearsal space, among friends. Using sound-absorbing materials like the typical “overes,” the project arrives at the material that becomes its defining feature:

a perforated ceramic brick that allows the construction of load-bearing walls laid on edge, showing the holes and turning it into a luminous filter.
