Facilities and Resources

informatic
With over 4,500 m² of facilities, in an exceptional and well-connected location, the center offers around thirty learning spaces including classrooms, workshops, and studios with top-notch equipment and the latest technology.

The School features a spacious and unique building specially designed to support teaching activities and learning in visual communication, art, and design studies. It benefits from a variety of specially adapted spaces, the use of natural light through large windows, and a generous area in terms of dimensions and versatility in functionality.

Workshops

The particularity of the studies offered and their practical aspect make workshops a fundamental part of the daily training of students at the center. The School has about ten specialized workshops for different teachings, where students actively engage in practical learning, experimenting and applying the knowledge that the teaching staff transmits daily.

  • Ceramics Workshop. Equipped for modeling with clay and ovens for firing ceramics.
  • Three-dimensional Modeling Workshop. Designed to accommodate the creation of small figures (characters and objects) and their animation.
  • Jewelry Workshop. Equipped with jewelry benches prepared for the creation and finishing of jewelry with equipment for tasks such as soldering and applying heat.
  • Painting Workshops. The School has two painting workshops that allow for the application of painting processes in small and large formats, both on easel and mural painting.
  • Design Workshops. These workshops offer theoretical-practical subjects prepared for prototype and model assembly. Adapted for working with wet techniques for typography and plastic expression.
  • Illustration Workshop. Equipped with specific tables for drawing and illustration with natural lighting, optimal space layout, and orientation.
  • Printmaking Workshop. An emblematic space that maintains traditional printing techniques. It has specific devices to develop techniques such as lithography, screen printing, and engraving, among others.

Specialized Classrooms

The center has five computer-equipped classrooms, each with sixteen Apple computers and digital projection systems, as well as photography and illustration classrooms with computer workstations. These spaces have the technology and equipment needed to capture, record, and edit images within the framework of photography and 3D animation studies.

Among these spaces with specific technical equipment are the photography and 3D animation studios. The Photography Studio is equipped with a lighting system, as well as specific equipment and technology for image capture. Various techniques are taught to allow students to practice portrait, still life, or advertising photography, among others. The Animation Studio has appropriate measures for teaching and practicing animation and stop motion techniques involving 3D objects and characters. It is equipped with lighting and cameras prepared for frame-by-frame capture.

The theoretical-practical classrooms are adapted for the comprehensive learning of students, both in practical and theoretical knowledge. The specific adaptation of the drawing and gemology classrooms, both in terms of space and equipment, makes this dual objective compatible.

The School has laboratories to process materials and deploy techniques that require some of its studies in a suitable environment. The analog photography laboratory is equipped with enlargers and equipment suitable for analog developing processes. Within the printmaking workshop is the printmaking laboratory equipped for preparing screen printing screens and offset pre-printing processes.

Exhibition Spaces

The School, in addition to being a center for learning, knowledge transmission, and professional training, promotes the exchange of experiences from both students and external creators, organizing exhibitions and shows open to the entire educational community and the city. The School Lobby hosts a permanent exhibition on the study offerings and temporary displays of ceramics and jewelry.

The Pool Space is the main venue for activity exchange and the site for temporary exhibitions, both internal productions and from local artists and creators. In addition to the central space, the surrounding panels integrate the works of different specialties of the center.
