Dialogue: "Teixir el gest: Miró i el Tapís de Tarragona", with Josep Massot & Andreu Dengra
- 10 September 2026
- Hora: 18:30 h - 20:00 h
«Miró. Art i Territori» is a cycle of twenty dialogues promoted by the Xarxa de Museus d’Art de Catalunya to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the Fundació Joan Miró. The program was born with the desire to vindicate one of the most universal figures of Catalan art and to generate new readings of his work and thought from contemporary perspectives, connecting his legacy with the collections, stories and lines of work of the facilities that are part of the project.
Two specialists linked to the fields of art, research, literature or philosophy will be invited to each session to dialogue around a specific aspect of Miró's universe. Over the course of three months, forty voices will contribute to building a plural perspective on the work of Joan Miró and to generate an itinerary of thought that relates the territory, the cultural history of the country and the museums that guard and interpret this shared heritage.
The sessions will address issues as diverse as the artist's relationship with the land and landscape; the links between art, literature, music and spirituality; or the creative complicity with other figures such as Picasso, Sert or Cristòfol. This polyphony will draw a map of affinities, influences and resonances that will allow us to understand Miró's relevance and his ability to continue to challenge the present.
The entirety of this creative journey will be collected in a publication edited by the Xarxa de Museus d’Art de Catalunya, which will bring together the reflections, ideas and debates that arose during the cycle, forming a collective testimony of the multiple readings that Joan Miró's work continues to generate today.
