Once again the Museu d’Art Modern de la Diputació de Tarragona joins the “Viatge a la Constel·lació Museu”, route, an itinerary through the different museums and cultural centers of the city of Tarragona, which takes place as part of the Night of Museums events. The route is structured around a common concept of a universal nature that acts as a link between the different participating institutions. Each center contributes a piece or heritage element to give its particular vision on the same topic.

La ruta s’estructura a partir d’un concepte comú de caràcter universal que fa de nexe d’unió entre les diferents institucions participants. Cada centre aporta una peça o element patrimonial per tal de donar la seva visió particular sobre un mateix tema.

Fashion show

Location: Ground floor and first floor of the MAMT

The Museu d’Art Modern de la Diputació de Tarragona hosts a special edition of 080 Reborn, a proposal that celebrates creativity, circularity and the transformative value of sustainable fashion. The show presents a retrospective of the last four years of collections created from recovered pieces, a journey that demonstrates how second-hand can become its own, contemporary and deeply necessary aesthetic language.

Under the stylistic gaze of Fermin + Gilles, the collection reinterprets pieces from textile waste and second-hand stores, giving them a new life and a new story. Each piece has been reconstructed, re-signified and elevated to an object of desire, claiming the beauty of imperfection and the creative power of what already exists.

080 Reborn, promoted since its inception by the Agència de Residus de Catalunya, defends a clear idea: fashion can be a driver of change. Rethinking consumption, extending the useful life of clothes and reducing their environmental impact is not only a responsibility, but also an opportunity to generate new aesthetics and new ways of relating to the clothes we wear.

The result is a collection of unique pieces, prepared to be experienced many times and by many people. A fashion that renews itself, that endures and that shows that the future of style involves looking back, recovering, reinterpreting and recreating.
