Biennal d'Art Diputació de Tarragona / BADt 2025

Last March, a new call for the Biennal d'Art Diputació de Tarragona (BADt) opened, which, since 2021, has experienced a new impetus thanks to the reformulation of its bases to adapt it to new demands and creative trends.
For the 2025 call, 232 applications were received with works of different styles that fall within the current concept of visual arts, regardless of their discipline and without the need to attend to any prior classification, responding to the objective of promoting the interest and complicity of the authors.
The jury of the awards, formed by independent curators and art critics Sofia Lemos, Aimar Ariola, David Armengol and Leire Vergara, selected 13 productions from which the winning work and two runners-up were chosen, which will be revealed during the opening of the exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art of the Diputació de Tarragona on July 5, 2025.
In the words of the jury: "We are […] in an enthusiastic attempt to unite and connect a set of works that were never thought to coexist within the same exhibition. In other words, the thirteen pieces that are part of this exhibition intersect in their powers and relevance in the face of a desire for a prize, for recognition, for connection with the other".
With this objective, the work of the artists chosen for this edition and that are part of the BADt exhibition are:
Ane Berganza, Daniel Cao, Eduardo Hodgson, Equip Jeleton, Gari Arambarri, Hac Vinent, Irati Inoritza, Lola Lasurt, Lucía C. Pino, Mar Guerrero, Marc Larré, Marc Vives, Santiago F Mosteyrín.
