What would you like the future Museum of Modern (and Contemporary) Art of the Tarragona Provincial Council to be like?

The MAMT opened its doors in 1976 and has a 50-year history at the service of art, culture, education and people. Over time, the museum and its collections have grown, it is in a process of constant change, just like our society, and we want to build a space and a project that responds to the needs of a museum institution but above all to those of society.

Aware of the challenge that a museum of the future entails where everyone feels represented, we have believed it essential to listen to our audiences as the basis of a territorial project.

That is why with REFORMULAR, an exhibition that arises from the MAMT Pedagogical, the MAMT Educational Service, we want to give a voice to you, those who have grown up at the MAMT and who have shared so many experiences with us, but we also want to give a voice to everyone who visits us, inviting you to rethink and imagine a new space open to citizenship, culture and artistic expressions.
