Second-year Ephemeral Architecture students visit the ISE trade show in Barcelona
Second-year students from the Ephemeral Architecture programme recently attended the ISE (Integrated Systems Europe), held in Barcelona, one of the leading international trade shows in the fields of audiovisual systems, spatial technology and experience design.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of stands and gain first-hand insight into innovative proposals in exhibition design, scenography, lighting, materials, temporary structures and integrated technological solutions. This experience allowed them to see how the concepts developed in the classroom are translated into real professional environments, through projects of high technical and creative complexity.
Attending ISE was particularly valuable for understanding the role of ephemeral architecture as a key discipline in communication, experiential marketing and the creation of temporary spaces with a strong identity. The visit also encouraged a critical perspective on current industry trends and strengthened the connection between education, industry and professional practice.
These kinds of educational activities complement academic learning and contribute to enriching the students’ training process, bringing them closer to real-world contexts and fostering a contemporary, transversal and professional approach to ephemeral space design.
