Photography students present the complete process of a real stage project in collaboration with Sala Trono
The exhibition is the result of the collaboration between Sala Trono and the photography department of the School of Art and Design of the Provincial Council in Tarragona, a project that this year reaches its fifth consecutive edition. This initiative is part of a series of projects that connect classroom learning with real professional contexts, bringing students closer to contemporary photographic practice.
Each year, first-year students of the Higher Vocational Training Programme in Photography cover different theatre productions programmed at Sala Trono, working with 35 mm film and under real stage conditions: low light, constant movement and strong narrative demands. This work allows them to experience stage photography from a professional and immersive perspective. In this edition, the work of Pablo Ariño, Oliver Sena, Aida Sánchez, Liana Escoda, Miquel Bazán, Irma Enguita Zaragoza and Cèlia Salvadó will be presented.
During the second year, the images are developed, analysed and printed manually in the School’s laboratory. The process culminates in a collective exhibition open to the public, in which students experience every phase of the project: from live shooting to the final exhibited print.
The result is a proposal that connects photography, theatre and professional learning, highlighting both the craftsmanship of the process and each student’s personal perspective.
The exhibition can be visited from 21 February until Sunday, 31 May 2026 at Twins Craft Beer.
