Roger Martínez, Graphic Design student at EADTarragona, winner of the 2026 ‘Olympus Scholarship’
Among the projects submitted by students within the Professional Project Management module, Roger Martínez’s poster was unanimously selected as the top entry by the jury. The 21-year-old student from Valls receives a €500 grant, along with a full weekend stay for two people at the Hotel Olympus Palace 4*.
Roger’s proposal is described as “a collage of the region, featuring elements related to cardiology, healthy eating, and everything that contributes to a strong heart. This project has made me more aware of how important it is to take care of our health,” the winner explained.
In addition to the winning entry, the posters by Alba Pocurull and Andrea Hernández were announced as joint runners-up. Both receive a one-night stay for two people at the Hotel Olympus Palace 4*. The hotel also rewarded the rest of the students with a day experience at the SUMMIT for two people, including a meal during the summer.
Gil Cristià, representative of the hotel’s ownership, highlighted during his speech “his gratitude to the participating students for their work and dedication. I also want to thank the management and teaching staff of the School of Art and Design of the Tarragona Provincial Council for their involvement and the work of the jury.”
The School of Art and Design of the Tarragona Provincial Council emphasised that “this project has been quite an adventure, a process full of emotions. A challenge we have embraced from the very beginning with shared enthusiasm. We have felt very welcomed and supported, and we want to express our gratitude,” said Laura Casas, professor of the Professional Project Management module, together with teachers Itziar Solla, Silvia Iturria, Núria Anguren, and Judith Guinovart, as well as Marcel Blázquez, director of the school.
Charity dinner on Thursday, October 1
The 2026 solidarity dinner will take place at the Hotel Olympus Palace 4* on Thursday, October 1 at 19:00. All proceeds will be fully allocated to research into the prevention of cardiovascular diseases by the CatSud Biomedical Research Institute and Hospital Universitari Joan XXIII in Tarragona.
