Course Objectives and Basic Information
The monographic ceramics course is aimed at providing training to students so that they can learn the foundations of this ancestral and at the same time contemporary craft. Come and discover and learn about ceramic materials and technologies through practice and experimentation, to move between artistic and artisanal ceramics, playing to awaken sensitivity towards the world of Art and contemporary ceramics. We will explore our own creativity while learning with a series of activities and challenges in a program that aims to offer a broad vision of the discipline while adapting to each group, both to people who are starting out in ceramics and to those who want to delve deeper into the techniques and continue discovering the wide range of possibilities of ceramics.
Low (1000ºC) and high temperature ceramics (1250ºC) will be worked on, taking a tour of the basic construction techniques: churros, plates, volumes and lathe; as well as basic techniques in decoration and glaze.
The ceramics workshop aims to be a space for meeting, learning and experimentation around clay.

Beginner Ceramics:
