SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NON-UNIVERSITY POST-COMPULSORY EDUCATION COURSES 2025/26

The application period for scholarships is from March 24, 8:00 a.m., to May 14, 2025, 3:00 p.m.

You must apply for the scholarship within this period, even if you do not yet know what you will study, or even whether you will study at all. Indicate the studies you consider most likely, and in September you will be able to modify them if necessary. (March 24, 2025)

Even if you are unsure about what you will study next year, or whether you will study at all, you must submit the scholarship application within the deadline.

On the application form, indicate the studies you believe you will pursue.

If, at the time of enrollment, your studies are different, that is not a problem. You will have a period in September to modify this information on the application (accessing the Ministry’s portal).

What are scholarships for non-university post-compulsory education?

These are scholarships for students in post-compulsory education, awarded by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Sports.

Which courses are considered post-compulsory?

Students enrolled in the 2025-2026 academic year in post-compulsory or higher non-university education:

  • First and second years of Baccalaureate

  • Intermediate and Higher Level Vocational Training

  • Professional artistic education

  • Sports education

  • Higher artistic education

  • Advanced religious studies

  • Language studies at official schools (including distance learning)

  • Access courses and preparation courses for vocational training entry exams, and specific training courses for access to intermediate and higher level cycles offered in public and private centers

  • Basic vocational training cycles

Documentation

No documents need to be submitted. However, if deemed necessary by the educational administration, you may be asked to provide original documents supporting the information included in your scholarship application.

SCHOLARSHIPS FROM THE DIPUTACIÓ DE TARRAGONA, ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/25

The Diputació de Tarragona offers individual scholarships to students at the School, aimed at facilitating the completion of artistic studies. Eligible activities include the amounts paid for tuition fees of Higher Level Vocational Training cycles in the specialties offered, excluding final projects of the training cycles. The scholarship amount corresponds to the percentage applicable to each module/subject/training unit as established by the fiscal ordinance regulating the fees of the Diputació de Tarragona – Fees for the provision of artistic education services delivered at the Schools of Art and Design, applicable for each academic year.

1. Purpose of the Grant

The purpose of this call is to regulate the awarding of financial aid, through individual scholarships, to officially enrolled students at the Schools of Art and Design of the Diputació de Tarragona, to facilitate their completion of artistic studies for the 2024/2025 academic year. The granting of these scholarships is governed by the provisions included in this call, given its specificity and uniqueness. This call is part of the Strategic Grant Plan 2023-2027 of the Diputació de Tarragona and its autonomous bodies under Axis 2 – Socioeconomic Model, Strategic Line 4 “Transformative Culture,” contributing to retaining artistic talent and making education a driver of social change and a source of collective well-being.

Its objective is to encourage student attendance in artistic education offered at music centers and the Schools of Art and Design of the Diputació de Tarragona, thereby promoting artistic training and cultural development in the Tarragona region.

2. Eligible Activities

Eligible activities include the amounts paid for tuition fees (2024/2025) for Higher Level Vocational Training cycles in artistic education offered at the Schools of Art and Design of the Diputació in Tarragona and Reus. The final project of the LOGSE training cycle and other non-regulated study programs are excluded.

3. Requirements for Beneficiaries

General Requirements:

  • Beneficiaries must be enrolled in Higher Level Vocational Training cycles at the Schools of Art and Design of the Diputació de Tarragona (excluding final projects of LOGSE cycles and other non-regulated study programs) for the 2024/2025 academic year.

  • Beneficiaries must have paid the full tuition for the year for which the scholarship is requested (2024/2025).

  • Beneficiaries must have obtained an average grade of 5 or higher in the previous academic year.

  • Beneficiaries must comply with the general requirements established in Article 13.2 of Law 38/2003 of November 17, General Law on Grants, and Base 7 of the General Grant Regulations of the Diputació de Tarragona (BOPT of 27/02/2019, insertion number CVE 2019-02028).

Failure to meet any of the requirements in section 3.1 will result in the rejection of the application.

Specific Requirements:

To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must meet the following criterion:

General Economic Requirements:

The family income and assets of the household/unit for the 2024/2025 academic year must not exceed the maximum thresholds established by the Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Cortes and Democratic Memory, Royal Decree 201/2024 of February 27, which sets the income and family asset thresholds and the amounts of scholarships and financial aid for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Starting from the eighth member, €3,340 will be added for each additional computable family member.

If the requirement set out in section 3.2.1 is not met, the scholarship application will be rejected. The applicant may choose not to object to the Diputació (Provincial Council) consulting, through public data intermediation services, the State Tax Administration Agency for economic data relating to income level, solely for the purpose of verifying the requirements for obtaining, receiving, and maintaining the requested scholarship. Otherwise, the applicant must provide documentation accrediting the income level of all family members declared in the application.


4. Expression of the application’s subjection to the competitive award system

Award system: Competitive concurrence.

The authority for approving the annual calls for the procedures for granting subsidies, aid, awards, and scholarships under the competitive concurrence system lies with the President of the Diputació de Tarragona, who has delegated this authority to the Governing Board (Decree no. 2023-0005139, dated September 13, 2023).


5. Application submission procedure

The application form must be completed and accompanied by the required documentation.

The supporting documents that must be attached to the application (through the Electronic Headquarters) are as follows:

If the student is attending the school for the first time in the 2024/2025 academic year:

  • An original academic certificate from the official educational center (Intermediate or Advanced Vocational Training Cycles, Baccalaureate, or other official studies), showing the grades obtained for each subject/module and the numerical average grade for the 2023/2024 academic year or the most recent completed course.

Applications may also be submitted through any of the means provided for in Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

Submitting the application implies knowledge and acceptance of all the requirements, obligations, and conditions included in this call.

In addition, once the award resolution is published, the student, parent, or guardian must also complete the “Communication of tax and bank details” procedure through the Diputació’s Electronic Headquarters:

The applicant may choose not to object to the Diputació consulting, via public data intermediation services with the State Tax Administration Agency and the General Treasury of the Social Security, the data related to compliance with tax and social security obligations, solely for the purpose of verifying eligibility for the scholarship.

Furthermore, the Intervention Department will verify internally, through the Treasury, that the beneficiary does not have any outstanding debt resulting from a repayment decision.

At any point during the procedure, the Diputació de Tarragona may request that the applicant provide the necessary supporting documentation.


6. Application submission period

The application period will run from the day after publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona (BOPT) until June 10, 2025.


7. Evaluation criteria for applications

The only evaluation criterion is academic performance, provided that all other requirements set out in these rules are met.

7.1. The evaluation of scholarship applications submitted under the requirement in section 3.2.1 will be carried out according to the following table:

8. Individualized Amount of the Scholarships

The amount of the scholarship corresponds to the percentage applicable to each module/subject/training unit as established in Regulatory Standard No. 22 on public fees for the provision of artistic education services offered at the Schools of Art and Design (Tarragona and Reus centers) and at the School for Art and Culture (Tortosa-Valls) of the Tarragona Provincial Council (BOPT dated 30-10-2024, insertion number CVE 2024-09817).

9. Deadline for Resolution and Notification

Maximum period to resolve and notify the decision of the procedure: 6 months from the closing date of the application submission period.

This publication will replace individual notifications and will have the same legal effects.
