Study and traineeship stays at European institutions under the Erasmus+ programme
The School of Art and Design of the Provincial Council in Reus participates in the Erasmus+ programme with the aim of offering its students the opportunity to enrich their studies through an international stay. Through this programme, students can complete part of their education or carry out internships in educational centres, creative studios, and European companies with which the school has collaboration agreements. These experiences allow students to broaden their knowledge, discover new ways of working, and grow academically and personally.
Mobility for studies
Erasmus+ study mobility offers EADR students the opportunity to spend a semester at an art school or higher education institution in another European country with which we have an active cooperation agreement. During this stay, the student does not have to pay tuition fees at the host institution, and once completed, the studies undertaken are incorporated into their academic record according to what has been previously established in the Learning Agreement.
In addition, students may apply for an Erasmus+ grant, a financial aid that partially contributes to travel and living expenses. The monthly amount is adjusted according to the chosen country and the criteria set by the National Agency SEPIE. Students who already receive a Ministry of Education scholarship may also receive additional support.
Currently, EADR maintains collaboration agreements with various art and design schools in Europe. Specifically, we have active agreements with ABA Ravenna, ABA Macerata, and ISIA Urbino in Italy; with ESAT in Roubaix, France; with the Instituto Politécnico da Guarda in Portugal; and with the Faculty of Mass Media and Communication at UCM in Slovakia.
These agreements provide our students with mobility experiences in creative and specialised centres, fostering cultural exchange, academic enrichment, and personal growth in an international environment.
Mobility for traineeships
Erasmus+ traineeship mobility offers EADR students the opportunity to undertake a practical training stay in companies, creative studios, or cultural institutions in another European country. The traineeships must be related to the student’s study programme and must be academically recognised within their curriculum.
The minimum duration of the traineeship is 2 months and the maximum is 12 months per study programme. Objectives, tasks, and conditions are defined before the stay in a Learning Agreement for Traineeships, and the period is supervised both by a company tutor and a tutor assigned by the school.
Financial support
Erasmus+ grants are awarded following the guidelines of the European Commission and the National Agency SEPIE. These grants aim to partially cover travel and living expenses, with the amount adjusted according to the cost of living in the destination country. Students who already receive a general scholarship may receive additional financial support, and specific grants are also available for students with disabilities or special needs, ensuring mobility accessibility for all.
How to participate?
During this academic year, the School of Art and Design of the Provincial Council in Reus will publish the official Erasmus+ grant call, detailing deadlines, requirements, and selection criteria to apply for international mobility.
