LECTURE ON GAUDÍ BY MANEL MIRÓ
On March 16, the School of Art and Design of the Provincial Council in Reus will host a lecture on Gaudí by Manel Miró, historian and museographer, aimed at second-year students of the Ephemeral Architecture programme.
The session will serve as a conceptual starting point for the project that students will develop for Sant Jordi: an intervention in the school’s display window inspired by the figure and legacy of Antoni Gaudí, within the framework of the commemoration of the Gaudí Year in Reus.
During the lecture, Manel Miró will provide an overview of the historical, cultural, and artistic context surrounding Gaudí’s work, exploring aspects such as symbolism, the relationship with nature, craftsmanship, and the construction of a unique creative universe. This perspective will enable students to approach the ephemeral project with a solid foundation and a contemporary interpretation of his imagery.
The future window installation will thus become an exercise in dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation, highlighting Gaudí’s legacy and the emerging talent of the school.
