Second-year PIDOD, Ephemeral Architecture and 3D Infographics students attend the presentation of the Habitàcola 2026 Awards

Second-year students from the programmes of Projects and Decoration Works Management (PIDOD), Ephemeral Architecture and 3D Infographics at the School of Art and Design of the Provincial Council in Reus will take part in the presentation of the guidelines for the Habitàcola 2026 Awards, organised by ARQUIN-FAD, one of the most prominent institutions in promoting contemporary design and architecture in Catalonia and Spain.

The Habitàcola Awards aim to promote young talent and recognise innovative projects by students of architecture, design and interior design from across the country. Each edition proposes a thematic challenge linked to real issues of our built environment, inviting participants to reflect on the role of design as a tool for social, environmental and cultural transformation.

This year, the call invites reflection on “observation spaces”, those points that allow us to contemplate, interpret and connect with the territory through public-use elements or structures visible from afar. The topic encourages exploration of how design can generate new places of observation and landscape awareness, fostering the relationship between the city, infrastructure and the natural environment.

At the school, this project will be developed transversally across the three programmes within the new module, Professional Project Management, which aims to bring students closer to the real context of the profession. The module promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, project planning and management from a professional perspective, and the ability to communicate and defend ideas before juries or clients, thus consolidating essential skills for the students’ future careers.

Participation in the Habitàcola Awards therefore represents a meaningful learning opportunity, allowing students to face a real assignment, work collaboratively and develop creative and viable solutions linked to current challenges in design and architecture.

Taking advantage of the day, students will also visit two leading companies in the fields of design and communication:

Ogilvy Barcelona, one of the most renowned international agencies in advertising, marketing and brand strategy, a benchmark in creativity, digital innovation and integrated communication.

Bilt Studio, a studio specialising in ephemeral architecture and spatial design, focused on exhibition setups, scenographies and temporary installations, with a strong commitment to conceptualisation, sustainability and technological innovation.

A complete experience that connects academic training with professional reality and reaffirms the school’s commitment to applied, contemporary education that is open to today’s world of design and architecture.
