POTs brings hands-on material knowledge to PIDOD students
The school welcomed POTs, which delivered two talks for PIDOD students focused on key areas: surface coatings and paints.
The sessions combined technical explanations with hands-on experience, allowing students to explore the characteristics, applications and possibilities of different materials first-hand. One of the most valued aspects was the opportunity to touch, handle and compare real samples, greatly enhancing the learning experience.
This direct contact with materials and real industry processes is especially valuable, helping students connect theoretical knowledge with professional practice. Engagement with suppliers is, in this sense, a key component of their training.
The sessions were very positively received, both for the quality of the content and for the approachable and engaging delivery by the professionals. An enriching experience that strengthens the connection between the school and the professional world.
