The School of Art and Design of the Provincial Council in Reus takes part in the Roses de Reus festival with two artistic interventions
The School of Art and Design of the Provincial Council in Reus has participated in a new edition of the Roses de Reus festival with two ephemeral installations created by its students: Rose Labyrinth and Fragment of the Symbol.
The projects were developed by first-year students from the Interior Design II and Ephemeral Architecture programmes as part of their learning process. Both proposals offer creative approaches to the symbolic universe of the rose, reinterpreting it through contemporary languages and adapting it to the urban space.
Rose Labyrinth invites visitors to enter an immersive experience, playing with movement, form, and spatial perception. Meanwhile, Fragment of the Symbol offers a more conceptual interpretation, focused on the deconstruction and reinterpretation of an iconic element, generating new perspectives on a shared symbol.
Participation in the Roses de Reus festival allows students to work in a real-world context, facing the challenges of creating an artistic intervention open to the public and integrated into the urban environment. These experiences strengthen practical learning and foster key skills such as creativity, teamwork, and adaptability.
With this intervention, the School of Art and Design of the Provincial Council in Reus reinforces its presence in local cultural initiatives and continues to promote education connected to real-world practice and the social dimension of art and design.
