The Villablanca Foundation has opened the call for entries for the second edition of the Paco Aguilera Painting Award, an initiative that highlights the talent of artists with disabilities and, following the success of its first edition, is now firmly established in the region.

The School of Art and Design of the Provincial Council in Reus and the Provincial Council of Tarragona take part as collaborating institutions, reinforcing their commitment to projects that connect art, education, and social inclusion. In this regard, professionals from the school will serve on the jury, contributing their expertise and artistic judgement.

The School of Art and Design of Reus also contributes through its educational role. While the centre supported the exhibition setup in the first edition, this year second-year students from the Audiovisual Graphics and 3D Infographics programs will be responsible for producing the awards’ corporate video. This provides students with the opportunity to work on a real project linked to the local community and with a clear social dimension.

For its part, the Provincial Council of Tarragona supports the initiative as part of its commitment to promoting arts education and fostering actions that contribute to a more inclusive society.

The Paco Aguilera Award thus continues to create spaces for expression and recognition, while strengthening collaboration between institutions, educational centres, and social organisations across the region.
