L’EADTarragona acull el matí del proper dia 22 d’abril una nova edició del Laberint a la Piscina (LAP), una jornada d'il·lustració de caràcter intern

EADTarragona EADTarragona will host a new edition of Laberint a la Piscina (LAP) on 22 April, an internal illustration event organised by the Illustration Department with second-year students from Illustration and Animation, and the collaboration of first-year Illustration students.

The event is centred on the concept of the polyhedron as a metaphor for the contemporary artist: a versatile, multidisciplinary figure capable of working across different languages and creative fields.

Second-year students present six collaborative installations combining illustration and animation, exploring themes such as identity, daily routine, social adaptation, perception, and selfhood through conceptual and impactful works.

First-year students contribute three additional installations focused on light, shadow, memory, and emptiness, creating sensory experiences around the Piscina space.

To deepen this idea, the event features the creative studio CACTUS SOUP and artist VÍCTOR VISA, who will share their experience and how they balance the multiple facets that coexist within each artist.

Schedule

9:15 a.m. – Let’s begin!
Welcome and open talks for all vocational training programmes.

9:30 a.m. – PechaKucha by the creative studio “Cactus Soup”
We are polyhedral.

10:00–11:00 a.m. – Víctor Visa (Valencian painter and illustrator)

11:30 a.m. – Break / snack

12:15–13:30 p.m. – Round table discussion (only for illustration students in the workshop with Cactus and Víctor)

This LAP Day is not just a programme of activities, but a shared experience: a space where illustration expands beyond paper and becomes dialogue, research, and collective construction. A place where each face of the polyhedron finds its own identity.

The graphic image for this edition of LAP was created by student David Centellas, as part of the Professional Project Management course in second year of the Higher Degree in Illustration. Among the different proposals submitted, his was selected by the art direction.

The LAP project is part of a teaching approach in which students learn to coordinate and deliver a cultural event, taking into account organisation, collaboration, and the realisation of different project proposals.
