Second-year Illustration students present a series of works at the Antic Ajuntament Cultural Centre linked to the finalist stories of the 28th Tinet Online Short Story Award.

Students from the Advanced Vocational Training Programme in Illustration have created visual interpretations of the stories shortlisted for the 28th Tinet Short Story Award. The project has resulted in a series of 15 illustrations that accompany the finalist texts and the winning story, published in the volume …ets tu i altres contes, edited by Cossetània Edicions.

On Friday, 30 January, the Antic Ajuntament Cultural Centre will host a double event linked to the Tinet Award. At 6.30 p.m., the exhibition Tinet Awards. From Story to Illustration will open, showcasing work by second-year students from the Advanced Vocational Training Programme in Illustration at the Tarragona Provincial Council’s School of Art and Design. Half an hour later, at 7.00 p.m., the book …ets tu i altres contes will be presented, with the participation of the finalist authors, in a session moderated by writer Ester Enrich.

The book, released to coincide with the event, brings together the winning story and the finalist texts from the 28th edition of the Tinet Online Short Story Award. The publication forms part of the Tarragona Literary Awards 2024–2025 and includes illustrations created by students and teachers from the School of Art and Design.

The exhibition can be visited in the small hall of the Antic Ajuntament from 30 January to 14 February, Tuesday to Saturday, from 4.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.

The Tinet Short Story Awards have been held in Tarragona for 28 years, promoted by the School of Letters – Casa de les Lletres of Tarragona City Council in collaboration with Tinet of the Provincial Council. This is the second year that second-year Illustration students have taken part in the project as part of the Professional Project Management course, contributing one illustration for each finalist story.

During the event, Ester Enrich will introduce the finalist authors and their works. The event will also feature contributions from Sandra Ramos, Councillor for Culture at Tarragona City Council, and Xavier Puig, member of the Tarragona Provincial Council.
