Gaudí's work is expected to be completed in mid-2026 with the crowning of the dome of the Assumpta Chapel in the Sagrada Família.

The temple's construction company invited multiple artists to a competition to create this chapel and ended up choosing three sculptors with a workshop in Catalonia for years.

They are Béatrice Bizot, Mercè Riba and Teresa Riba.

The Assumpta Chapel is located behind the apse of the basilica, parallel to Carrer Provença. It is a square construction dedicated to the Virgin Mary, which is attached to the temple but is independent. The chapel is covered by a blue dome, which represents the mantle of the Assumpta, which will be made of trencadís, in her ascension to heaven.

On the outside, above the two entrance doors, there will be the figures of two saints who dedicated their lives to those most in need: Saint Roch and Saint Josep Oriol. On the one hand, our former jewelry student, Béatrice Bizot, is in charge of creating the sculpture of Saint Roch.

On the other hand, Mercè Riba who created the statue of the other portal, that of Saint Josep Oriol, and the interior panels dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and finally Teresa Riba who is the author of the four angels who hold the blue veil of the Virgin Mary.
